#Evga queue wait time 2021 series
Honestly something's brewing imo, with crypto going down the drain, the scalpers losing money, the vastly improved availability, the dropping prices and the next GPU generations a few months away, the 30 series would have to have a massive discount to be worth it. The only reason why I'm not yet removing my notification is because I'm hoping it will count for something when the 40 series launches, I'm pretty sure it'll still be pending. Honestly at this point I'm waiting for the 40 series, the 30 series is almost 2 years old so paying MSRP or over for it is out of the question. It has been 11-ish months since my queue entry and iirc a few months back there was a guy that said he's been waiting since 2020 for a 3080 and while I get that the 3080 queues are the longest, a year and then some is a stretch even there. Unless proven otherwise I assume there are no significant numbers of notifications going out, because that seems most likely. Aside from the recent ray of hope that died as fast as it came, when the EU EVGA store had some cards (3080 12GB 3080 Ti and 3090 Ti, so not the cards that most people are waiting for), we see that most EVGA cards are on amazon or local retailers and are more expensive than they should, some by 70-ish Euro, some by 500 Euro. It's not even trickling, the faucet's off. It has already been confirmed that for the EU region the retailers and online stores are prioritized and it seems to hold true.

I'd rather downgrade for a few months than pay full price for the 30 series at this point. As far as I'm concerned my 6+ y/o GTX 1080 is still chugging along, and if it stops before I get something new I can whip out an R9 280 that still works to this day.
